John Burkhalter, age 88, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday September 19, 2021.  He was born in Lindale, Georgia on October 5,1932 son of the late Oscar O’Neal Burkhalter and the late Aire Frances Howell.  He was employed in the Beer and Wine industry for over 40 years. John is survived by his children; Marie O’Connell (Rich Jeffers), Todd (Amy) Burkhalter, Jeff (Melissa) Burkhalter, John (Linda) Burkhalter; Grandchildren: Cameron O’Connell, Cody O’Connell, Courtney O’Connell, Colyn O’ Connell, Bryce Burkhalter, Austin Burkhalter, Conner Burkhalter, Chase Burkhalter, Leah Burkhalter, Sarah Raye Burkhalter, Elizabeth Burkhalter. According to his wishes he is being cremated.  A memorial service will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to Emory University in John R.
