Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point for Joyce L. Comeaux, 91, who passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 10:25 P.M. at Acadia St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Deacon Byrne Winn will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Cemetery in Church Point. The family has requested the visitation to be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. until time of service. A Rosary will be recited at 2:30 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday. Survivors include two daughters, Ann Daigle of Lafayette and Connie and husband, Dennis Velasquez of Sioux Falls, SD; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Joyce was a long standing member of the Church Point Community. She loved to dance, travel and listen to Cajun Music. Her brash sense of humor will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Ms. Comeaux was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Comeaux; one son, Patrick Thibodeaux; her parents, Alouis and Marie D. Leger; three brothers, Kermit, Eldon and Burton Leger.
