Graveside service for Shirley Mason, 72, of Glen Rose, will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, September 25, 2021, in Rosehill Cemetery. Reverend DeWaun Ashley will officiate. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, September 24, 2021, at the funeral home. Shirley Mason passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, in Fort Worth. She was born September 18, 1949, in Glen Rose to R.T. and Opal (Ruth) Townley. Shirley married Edward Lee Mason Sr., on July 25, 1970, in Glen Rose. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church. Shirley was a data entry clerk for TXU with 20 years of service. She also had 10 years of service as a recording clerk for Johnson County. Shirley is survived by her children, Edward Mason Jr., and wife, Kristi of Wichita Falls, Texas, Anthony Mason of Cleburne and Charlotte Warren and husband, Hubert of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Michael Mason, Laura Mason, Ayden Sutherland, Hunter Mason, and Shawn Mason; along with numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband who passed on June 15, 2006; two brothers; one sister; and daughter-in-law, Michelle Mason.
