Mary A. Marshall, 85, of Joplin, Missouri passed from this life on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mary was born July 9, 1936 in Galena, Kansas to the union of Clifford and Lona (Sweeten) Baysinger. Mary graduated from Riverton High School where she was involved in many different clubs and activities. Mary worked as a lunch lady in the Stockton School system, retiring July 1, 1999. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Battlefield, MO until her health wouldn’t allow her to attend. She enjoyed bowling, going to Stockton Lake fishing, and traveling around to area flea markets. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Mary was married to Paul Fanning and to this union two Children were born, Kevin and Sheri. She later married Adam Marshall who preceded Mary in death in 2010. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Junior Baysinger, Charlie Baysinger, Raymond Baysinger; sisters, Grace Price, Velma Shetley, Ethel Baysinger, Betty Earnst, and Juanita Hershey. Mary is survived by one son, Kevin Fanning and wife Connie of Baxter Springs, KS; daughter, Sheri Creed of Joplin, Missouri; brother, Doug Baysinger of Joplin, MO; sister, Alice Gooden of Springfield, MO; four grandchildren, Josh Fanning, Nathan Creed, Micah Creed, and Jake Fanning; four greatgrandchildren, Lilly Weaver, Brady Weaver, Piper Creed, and Jax Creed. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Rev, Ray Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO. Pallbearers will be Josh Fanning, Nathan Creed, Micah Creed, Jake Fanning, Jim Bradford, Justin Bradford.
