Susan C. Richards, age 70, of Smyrna, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 17, 2021. She will be remembered as a loving wife, aunt, sister, mother, and her most favorite title, grandmom. Her family always came first and her nine grandchildren brought her the most joy. Her caring heart and kind soul touched everyone that knew her. She was preceded in death by parents Samuel and Madonna Spry and sister Bobbie Jean. She is survived by a huge family, including her loving, devoted husband, Michael D. Richards, her daughter Nicole (Bill), son Joe (Danielle), step-daughters Kimberly, Kristina, Samantha, and Katy, and her 9 beautiful grandchildren, that were her pride and joy, Steven, Bradley, Madison, Kylie, Christopher, Claire, Trip, Lexie, and Callie. She is also survived by her brother Doug (Chris) and numerous nephews and nieces. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 11 am to 12 pm in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 South Main Street in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 12 pm. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Episcopal Cemetery in Smyrna.
