Charles J. “Jim” Jones Jr. Charles J. “Jim” Jones Jr., 54, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Dubuque, passed away September 14, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was born December 2, 1966 in Dubuque, Iowa. He was a graduate of Dubuque Senior High School. He traveled the countryside and became a renowned chef. He settled in Charlotte with his wife and their children. He is survived by his wife, Ellen; three children, Amanda, Devin, and Jarrett Jones; his mother, Eilean (Gary) Marshall of Dubuque; Richard W. “Rick” (Marlene) Jones of Dubuque; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. As per his wishes, cremation has been accorded. There will be no visitation or service. Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
