Enola Lewis Carrier
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Our Lady Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Mary Enola Lewis Carrier who went home to Jesus on September 13, 2021 at age 98. Enola was born to Lloyd Lewis and Julia Harrison on January 10, 1940 in Church Point, Louisiana. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Enola also loved cooking, spending time with family, and playing bingo. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Enola met her husband, Rodney Carrier at a dance. They married and went on to have four children, Theresa Carrier, Betty Ann Chevis, Julia Mason, and Rodney Carrier, Jr. Enola joins her parents, Lloyd and Julia, her sisters, Edola Chachere and Cora Dudley, and her brothers, Irving Lewis, Joseph Curley Lewis and Houston Lewis, in Heaven. She is Survived by her brother, Joseph Citizen, and her sister, Laverta DeBoest (Adam), her children, Theresa Carrier, Betty Ann Chevis (Raymond), Julia Mason (Raymond), Rodney Carrier Jr. (Sandra) and her grandchildren, Maurice Fisher, Monica Lynn Morgan, Magdelene Bellard, Ann Morrick, Denise Simien, Mark Carrier, Rainey Chevis, Hope Willis, Cecily Carrier, Vivian Mason, Raenada Mason, Nikki Mason, Gentry Carrier, and Nicholas Mason along with a host of nephews, nieces, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
