King – Alice Mineer Truitt, 93, of King passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Woltz Hospice after a long illness. 

Mrs. Truitt was born on September 10, 1928, in Lewis County, KY to the late Arthur and Gertrude Marshall Mineer.  She was a member of First Christian Church of King. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Minister William Ernest Truitt; and Ruby Worthington, Janet Sue Mineer, Ralph Mineer, Norman Mineer, and Harry Mineer.

Left to cherish her memory is her son David Truitt; five sisters: Aileen Carpenter (Eric), Lula Harris (Harold), Betty O’Conner (Mike), June Dillon (Markie), and Joyce Meadows (Harry); and a brother, Charles Mineer.  She is also survived by her special friends: Brenda Lane, Jackie Winfrey, Tammy Demertzis, and Monnette Cook. 

The family will receive friends and loved on from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021at First Christian Church of King.

A graveside  service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at First Christian Church of King, with Minister Glenn Van Meter and Minister Ralph Sproules officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request that memorial donations be made to First Christian Church Cemetery fund: 625 Meadowbrook Dr. King, NC 27021.

The family has request Covid-19 guidelines be followed and is asking that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing.
