<p>Kenneth Frank Ellis</p> <p>Age 87, of Butler Twp., passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Grandview Hospital. Ken was born April 5, 1934 in Omar, West Virginia.</p> <p>He was a member of Northridge Freewill Baptist Church, retired from General Motors – Delco Moraine and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.</p> <p>Ken is survived by his loving wife of the past 66 years, Joyce K. (Edwards) Ellis; daughter, Janet Wagoner & her husband, Bennie; son, Larry Ellis & his wife, Sandra; five siblings, Homer Young, Ronald Young, James Young & his wife, Kelley, Jean Bryan & her husband, Harry & Julia Martin & her husband, Jim; three grandchildren, Amanda Taulbee (Dax), Alicia Wagoner & Brandon Wagoner (Trinity); two great grandchildren, Isaac & Leah Taulbee; and by his extended family & many good friends.</p> <p>The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 20, at Northridge Freewill Baptist Church, 4800 Payne Ave., Dayton, Oh 45414. Funeral services will be held at the church on Tuesday at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Steve Nickles officiating. The family will also be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the church. Interment will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery in Vandalia.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Ken to the church.</p> <p>Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.</p>April 5, 1934 - September 14, 202104/05/193409/14/2021

Ken was such a sweet soul. Over the past couple of years, I had the pleasure of watching tons of westerns with him and eating one of his favorite foods, fried chicken.
