Nova Denise Brammer Obituary

Nova Denise Brammer was born on Monday, September 13, 2021, and passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.  She is survived by her parents, Jason Brammer and Natalie Humphrey-Kauffman; her maternal grandparent, Nicole Willard; paternal grandparents, Michael and Lisa Brammer; her aunt, Mikayla Kauffman-Sarrault; and several additional aunts and uncles.  She is preceded in death by her grandma, Merritt Denise Hemenway-Perry, for whom she is named.

Precious Nova was a true warrior and surpassed all expectations, particularly those of the medical community and her parents.  Although her time on earth was brief, she was warmly embraced the entire 10 hours she was earthside.  Her sweet and assertive voice along with her Gerber-esque model face and features will be missed by all who had the immeasurable privilege to meet her.  We are so fortunate to have been connected with a bereavement doula and birth photographer.  These memories will forever remain etched in her family’s memory.  We are confident Nova is at peace and so loved as she begins her eternal life.  Her parents rejoice at the thought of seeing her beautiful face once again.  She will remain in the hearts, lives and souls of so many and will continue to make an impact following her death.

Contributions in memory of Nova may be given to Jessi Snapp at www.jessiannphotography.com/love-offering. These offerings allow Jessi to continue taking photographs for families who have experienced or are expecting the loss of a child at no cost. Additional organizations to consider include Ronald McDonald House Charities and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.  We also request thoughts and prayers for Nova’s parents, Natalie and Jason, as they navigate what is to become their “new normal”.  We pray they continue to see small miracles and seemingly insignificant signs that Nova remains with them.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 1 PM at Holy Cross Parish, 1050 Wilber St., South Bend, IN 46628. Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel is assisting with the arrangements.
