Sandra Kay Shuyler, 68, went home to be with her Lord on September 11th, 2021.

Sandra was born September 25th, 1952 in Bainbridge, Ga to Alga and Lizzie Henderson. Georgia was always home, but she spent the majority of her life living in Corpus Christi, Tx raising her three daughters Felicia, Aislinn, and Patti. Throughout the years, she worked a variety of jobs to do whatever necessary to provide for herself and her girls, retiring as a contractor from the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station. 

From an early age, Sandy developed a love of crocheting and has always used this gift and talent to love her family and those around her. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler, who would often make mention of her 265 average!

Her southern drawl, feisty attitude and one-of-a-kind personality gained her many friends over the years and she will be dearly missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alga and Lizzie Henderson and sister, Grace Thurman.

Sandra will be survived by her daughters, Aislinn (Randy) Mathisen, Felicia (Christopher) Hynote and Patricia (Wesley) Mathisen; brother, Jimmy Henderson; sisters, Gloria Harper, Freddie Mooney and Janet Musgrove; grandchildren, Steven (Gabby) Guerrero, Haylee (Jeremy) Nelson, Alyssa Mathisen, Caleb Mathisen, Wesley (Faith) Mathisen, Emily Mathisen, Hattie Mathisen, Preston Mathisen, Aaron Mathisen, Ian Mathisen and 2 Great Grandchildren, Cora Nelson and Memphis Guerrero. 

For those unable to make the visitation, Sandra's casket will remain open from 9:00AM to 10:00AM on Saturday, September 18, 2021 prior to the Funeral Service.
