<p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">David W. Davis, age 53, of Greenwood, FL, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Jackson Hospital. He was born August 18, 1968 to the late John and Ollie Mae Wright Davis.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">David was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and was employed with Landmark General Contractors. He was a longtime member of Sneads Pentecostal Holiness Church and enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, his dog named Whiskey, and spending time with his family.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">He was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal grandparents, Malvin and Pastoria Wright; and his paternal grandparents, Edward and Elizabeth Davis.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">David is survived by his brother, Timothy Davis; two sisters, Tammy Whitten and Barbara Bamberg all of Greenwood,Fl; two uncles, Amos Davis of Peoria, IL and William Billy Davis of Marianna; nieces and nephews, Nikki Baxley (JoJo), Kyla Riley (Jereomy) all of Greenwood, Kimberly Shiver (William) of Kinard, FL, Robin Yates of Cottondale, FL, Ashley Crum (Tyler) of Wicksburg, AL, Amanda Whitten (Andrew) of Boyou George, FL; nine great nieces and nephews and a host of cousins.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Funeral services for David will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Wright officiating. Interment will be in Mill Springs Cemetery following the service with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.&nbsp;</span></span></p>

David you were always a very special cousin to me. Always had a smile and a hug for all. Such a loving and caring soul. it saddens my heart that you are no longer here on earth but thank the Lord for His mercy and Grace, you are flying high now singing Gods presence.
