Henry "Hank" Fischer Seipp
<p> Henry Fischer Seipp, age 95, of Cambridge, MD, died peacefully on September 15, 2021, at his home in Cambridge, MD.</p> <p> Born on October 18, 1925, in Philadelphia, PA, Hank was the only son of the late Henry Charles Seipp and Elizabeth K. Fischer Seipp.</p> <p> In his early years, he lived in Yeadon, PA; attended school there, and graduated from Yeadon High School in 1943. He was a member of Yeadon Troop #2, Boy Scouts of America; and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Upon graduation, he attended the University of Pennsylvania; but once he turned 18 years of age, he took a leave of absence and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He received Boot Camp Training at the Naval Training Station in Sampson, NY, from which he was assigned to the V-12 Unit at the University of Pennsylvania; and later assigned to the NROTC Unit where he served as Battalion Adjutant. He received his officer’s commission in the USNR in June of 1946; after which he returned to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and received a B.S. Degree in Economics in 1947. He then joined the firm of Penn Lithographing Company in Philadelphia, PA, where he served as Vice President and Secretary, until his retirement in 1992. During this time, he served the Philadelphia Jr. Chamber of Commerce as Vice President and Director, the PA Jr. Chamber of Commerce as Vice President, and the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce as Chairman of the smaller manufacturer’s committee. He also served as chairman of the Sykes Estates Civic Association, Chairman of the Nether Providence Civic Council, and Registration Chairman and member of the Executive Committee of the Nether Providence Republican Party.</p> <p> After his retirement in 1992, Hank organized his own company, Hudson’s Delight Enterprises, Inc., a sales service firm that specialized in the printing of sports cards. He was a member of the Beckwith Methodist Church, where he served as an usher, member of the Board of Trustees, and the PR2 Committee. He was a member of the American Legion Post #91, the Cambridge Yacht Club, the Neck District Volunteer Fire Company, the Ward Museum, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the Richardson Museum, a Grand National Waterfowl Hunt benefactor, the NRA Golden Eagles, Ducks Unlimited, Billy Graham Evangelistic Ministries, D. James Kennedy Ministries, and numerous other religious and conservative organizations. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, farming, traveling, reading, and life in general on his beloved Hudson’s Delight Farm.</p> <p> Surviving are a daughter, Susan S. Welfley, of Media, PA; a son, John C. Seipp, Esq. and his wife Charlotte of Salisbury, MD; three grandchildren Christian J. Brunnquell, Julie L. Brunnquell, and Andrew P. Seipp. His other grandson John Charles Seipp, Jr. (Jay) is now reunited with him in Heaven. Hank was blessed with six great-grandchildren before his death. In the words of Hank, “It is only what I have accomplished for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that means anything; and in that department, I have not done nearly enough.”</p> <p> A private graveside service will be held at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens in Valley Forge, PA. A memorial service will be planned at a later date at Beckwith Methodist Church in Cambridge, MD, once the current resurgence in COVID cases eases.</p> <p> In lieu of flowers, Hank requested that any memorial offerings be sent to Beckwith U.
