Theresa Jones, 84, of Paris passed away September 8, 2021, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 11:00 am Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Solid Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Connice Mayes serving as eulogist.  Interment will be held in Fairland Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home. 

Theresa Jones was born to the parentage of the late Mitchell and Bettie Jones on December 22, 1936. He was a retiree of Ideal Bakery and Superior Switchboard. He united in holy matrimony with Betty Williams on February 11, 1956 and to this union, six children were born. He was the founder of Jones Auto Sales.

Children: Ori Sims, Barnell (Leavis) King, and Jackie (Jose) Cabrera and Larry (Crystal) Jones. Grandchildren: Cornelius Washington, Dominic Wallace, Charles Wallace, Jr., La’Kiesha Washington, La’Toya Jones, Shenerika Jones, Anzel Jones, Johntay Taylor, Shaquesha Taylor, Chasity Taylor, Shy’Juan Taylor, and Kayla Taylor. Also a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty Jones, sons, Theresa “L.C.” Jones and Mitchell Jones, grandson, Christopher Taylor, Sisters, Fannie Mims, Tonye Mims, Mary Jones, Vernell McGee, brothers, RoyJones, Ray Jones, and Joe Beamon.
