Ricky Joe Campbell Obituary

Ricky Joe Campbell (63) was born on April 14, 1958 to Joe and Margaret “Ringwald” Campbell. He grew up in Amarillo, Texas and then later moved to Abilene, Texas in the mid 70’s where he then met his wife Delinda DarLene Watkins and got married in 1977.  The couple was happily married for 43 years. In 1990 they moved to Merkel, Texas where he then had many ventures in running business and owning business such as Rick’s Auto. He spent many years building cars and working on many projects. He recently received a trophy for his 1929 model A Ford he had purchased and cleaned up for a show car. He was a hardworking man and a family man till the day he passed. There wasn’t a day go by he didn’t spend time with his family, grandchildren, great-grandchild and friends.

Rick was a great member of the community where he always made time to visit friends around town or share a meal. Ricky was a man who enjoyed sharing many jokes and seeing people smile.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents and a nephew PO3 Terry Campbell.

Ricky is survived by his wife Delinda DarLene Campbell, three children Korie Watkins of Merkel, Jacob Campbell and wife Whitney of Merkel, James Campbell and wife Jennifer of Abilene, nine grandchildren Koda, Kyra, Chase, Landin, Arriele, Katie, Kaleb, Aerilyn, and Madison; one great-grandchild Silo, one sister Becky Blessen and husband Tom of Galveston, Texas, one brother Michael Campbell and wife Misty of Amarillo, Texas, and one niece and several nephews.
