James M. Stacer Obituary

James M. Stacer, 69, of Jamesville, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday. Born in Syracuse, he was the son of the late Henry and Loretta Stacer. He graduated from Jamesville-DeWitt High School where he was a star basketball player. He worked with Alpha Cement, Syracuse University, Pete’s Blacktop Service and Shawn’s Paving until his retirement. James enjoyed golfing, hunting and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Surviving are his loving significant other of eight years, Mary Beckley; daughters, Sarah (Steve) Pace, Stephanie (Shelly Sheahan) Stacer, Erin (Joe) Briganti; son, Shawn (Barbara) Stacer; sister, Mary (Bern) Montgomery; brother, Tommy Stacer; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesse St, Fayetteville. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
