Yvon J. Theriault, Jr., 80, of Satsuma, passed from this life on Monday, September 13, 2021 at UF Health Shands in Gainesville following an extended illness. Born in Ft. Kent, Maine, he moved to Satsuma in 2010 coming from Prospect, Connecticut. Yvon owned and operated The Sandwich Board Restaurant in North Haven, Connecticut for over 40 years. He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Palatka. Yvon had also been an election poll worker at Precincts # 8 & 9 at the fire station in Satsuma. In his leisure time, he enjoyed working in his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Yvon Theriault and Isabelle Levesque Theriault and a brother, Dale Theriault. Yvon is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Theriault of Satsuma, a daughter, Michelle Staples (Todd) of Naugatuck, CT, a son, Scott Theriault (Kim) of Thomaston, CT, a brother, Helden Theriault of Frenchville, ME, 2 sisters, Patsy Bouchard (Doran) of Naples, FL and Judy Newman (Robert) of Satsuma and 3 grandchildren, Ryan Staples, McKenzi Staples and Hannah Theriault. Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at St. James United Methodist Church with Pastor John Schafer officiating. No visitation is scheduled. Flowers are gratefully accepted or memorial donations may be sent to the Putnam First Cancer Fund, 600 Zeagler Dr., Palatka, FL 32177.
