Dorris Jean Steele
Dorris Jean “Deejay†Steele passed away on August 21, 2017 in Seminole County, Oklahoma. She was born on October 24, 1953 in Burtonwood, England to John and Dorline Murray. She graduated from Choctaw High School in Choctaw, Oklahoma. Deejay worked at the New Age Project for many years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. <br /><br />She is survived by her step daughter Kim Carter and husband Larry, grandchildren Justin Hamilton, Hailey Steele, and Colton Steele, sister Brenda Carson and husband Cliff, niece Dee Stookey, nephew Bruce Carson, cousin Phyllis Tynes as well as a host of other relatives and friends.<br /><br />She is preceded in death by her parents and brother John Murray.<br /><br />A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00PM on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the East Main Church of Christ in Holdenville. Kevin Wright will officiate the service.<br /><br />Services under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.<br />Obituary
