Ricki Dimestria
Ricki Dimestria, 67, of Washington, NJ passed away on September 12, 2021 at St Luke's Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Ricki was born on November 10, 1953 in Newark, NJ to the late Nicola "Nick" Dimestria and Dora "Schenker" Dimestria. Ricki graduated from Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights, NJ class of 1971. He married his soulmate Barbara in 1984, and they moved to Washington, NJ in 1985. Ricki was employed by Engineered Components in Three Bridges, NJ as a Purchasing Agent and Shop Manager for 39 years until his retirement in 2018. A devoted husband and father, Ricki especially valued his family and friends, and enjoyed extra-curricular activities and soccer with his boys traveling all over NJ and PA for tournaments. He was involved in all his children's school functions, volunteerism, traveling, building and restoring antique motorcycles and classic cars, and was a member of various motorcycle clubs throughout NJ. He was a motor head and built and restored vehicles since his youth. A talented wood craftsman, he built furniture, and collected and restored antique furniture and old toys, appreciating its history and character. As an avid shooter, he was also a member of the Roseto Rod and Gun Club and the Phillipsburg Pistol Club, and enjoyed competition shooting. Rick is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Barbara "Savoca" Dimestria, his two sons, Eric and Brian Dimestria, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his brother Gene Stachura, of Port Clinton, OH. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday September 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 327 Greenwich St., Belvidere, NJ 07823. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Belvidere. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
