Dwayne E. Smith, 51, of Corydon, died Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at University of Louisville Hospital.  He was born July 31, 1970 in Corydon.  He was employed at Campbell’s Snack in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and was formerly employed at TG Missouri Automotive in New Albany and ICON Metal Forming in Corydon.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Earl Smith.

 

Survivors include his mother, Shirley Slaughterback Smith of Corydon; his daughter, Samantha Postlewait (Nate) of Corydon; his wife, Angela Bullock of Corydon; his step mother, Delores Ann Bailey Smith of New Albany; his brother, Charlie O. Smith (Shawn) of New Albany; his sister, Amanda A. Shumate (Jeremy) of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; his grandchildren, Bailey Smith, Landon Higgs and Alexander Propes; and his nephews, Easton and Grayson Shumate.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Darren Carey will officiate.  Burial will be in Pennington Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.

 

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 10:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Todd Leffler, Bobby Smith, Brian Johnson, Terry Smith, Jeremy Shumate & Jacob Allen.
