<p id="descr" class="show-read-more" itemprop="description"> Charles H. Walker, age 89, passed away at his home. He was born in Mason, Illinois to William and Florence (Cornwell) Walker. He married Georgia Hargis on December 22, 1958 in Flora, Illinois. She died January 22, 2006. He is survived by his daughter Candy (Jim) Curl and his son Charles E. (Carol) Walker. five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He grew up in the Mason, IL area. He served in The U.S. Army during WWII. After he retured from the military he worked at various jobs. He moved to Lockport, IL and worked for 26 years as a guard at Statesville Prison. In retirement he and his wife wintered in Mission, TX and moved to Greenville in 2005. He was a member of the Greenville First Christian Church and the Loyal U & I Sunday School Class at the church.
