After high school her family moved to Greenville where she attended Greenville College. There she received her bachelors in elementary education. Margaret enjoyed teaching for 25 years. She and George were married in 1944. They had four children together which gave her 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. After retirement she and George enjoyed traveling and camping together.
