Floyce Colvin Simpson

Mr. Floyce Colvin Simpson of Louisville, Kentucky, son of the late Luke Simpson and Hettie Kidwell Simpson, was born on Friday, September 21, 1928 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Masonic Nursing Facility in Louisville. He was 92 years, 11 months, and 23 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Victor Memorial Baptist Church in Louisville. He was a carpenter, a Korean War Veteran having served in the United States Air Force, a member of the American Legion Post #29, and a member of the Mahi Temple of the Shriners in Miami, Florida. Survivors include a son: Gary Simpson of Florida; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Simpson was also preceded in death by a son: Steve Simpson; brothers and sisters: Coleman Simpson, Estell Hollingsworth, Vester Milby, Thurman Simpson, Roxie Simpson, Gladys Wright, Lucian Simpson, and Haywood Lowe. ……………………………. The funeral services for Mr. Floyce Colvin Simpson will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Central Time, Friday, September 17, 2021 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veteran’s Honor Guard. Rev. John E. Smith officiating. Visitation is requested after 9 A.M, Friday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.
