Troy Steven McClure "Steve" 56

B. 10-19-1964 D. 09-03-2021

 

Troy S "Steve" McClure, 56, of Winlock Washington, went to be with the Lord suddenly on September 3rd, 2021. Steve was born on October 19th, 1964, in Summersville, West Virginia. He was the 3rd son of 5 children to Troy Lee and Goldie McClure. The McClure family moved to Seattle, Washington, in 1967, where they called home until settling in Winlock, Wa, in 1973.

 

He served in the U.S Navy from August of 86 to October 89. After his time in the service, Steve was a proud logger for over 30 years. He loved being in the woods and spending time with his family. "Steve was a generous person who had a big heart and could always make you laugh." He loved being adventurous and was an avid outdoorsman for most of his life.

 

Steve was also a strong man of faith who loved the Lord and his church. "He had left behind a handwritten scripture on his counter that read, Numbers 6:24-26- The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace." That was very "Steve" to leave behind for us. Always loved, never forgotten, forever missed.

 

He is survived by his mother, Goldie McClure of Upperglade, West Virginia. His four children, Nathaniel McClure & his wife, Laurie McClure. John Dixon, Derrick Phillips & stepdaughter Cherail Inman. His siblings, Julia Gaul & her husband Ron Gaul, Timothy McClure, & James McClure. His nieces and nephews; Matthew McClure, Alyssa McClure, Austin McClure, Mack Gaul, Mason Gaul, Logan McClure, Sydnie McClure & Rachelle Zeiders.

 

Previously preceded in death by his father, Troy Lee McClure, and brother David Lee McClure.

 

His family & friends will gather for a funeral service, September 16th at 11:00 AM at Winlock Cemetary, Winlock, WA 98596. Celebration of life to follow. Funeral arrangements have been made with Cattermole Funeral Home.
