Eduardo Jose Caballero, Jr., “EJ” 29, of Aurora, IL passed away on September 12, 2021. He was born on April 9, 1992 in Naperville, IL the son of Eduardo Caballero and Marilu Sanchez.  He loved soccer, chess, running and especially loved working on cars. He loved late nights and long talks with his sister. EJ was a kind soul and spent his entire life putting everyone before himself. Above all things, EJ was a wonderful and dedicated father who loved his children unconditionally.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and his kindred spirit will live on in each of the lives he touched.

He is survived by his children; Mia, Max and Meilani; parents Marilu (Roman Duran) Caballero and Eduardo J. Caballero; sister, Marisa (Scott) Burknap, paternal grandmother, Elivia Cervantes; former wife, Citlali Murillo. He is also survived by 3 nephews, 1 niece and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Romana Sanchez and paternal grandpa Juan Caballero.

Family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 Pm at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60358, a time of brief sharing will be held during the last hour of visitation. Funeral Mass will be at St. Therese Catholic Church on Wednesday September 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
