Mikahla K. Conrad, 22, of Columbus and formerly of Marblehead, OH passed away Friday, September 10, 2021 in Columbus. She was born January 27, 1999 in Sandusky the daughter of Kory and Wendy (Trumbull) Conrad. Mikahla is a 2017 graduate of Danbury High School and 2021 graduate of the University of Findlay, receiving her bachelor of science degree in environmental, safety and occupational health management, minor in sustainability. She currently was a Safety Officer for OhioHealth Doctors Hospital in Columbus. Mikahla volunteered at the Columbus Humane Society. She enjoyed playing with her beloved cat, Darcy, and dogs, Covi and Jack. She loved reading, a good cup of tea, and tending to her many plants. She was happiest when gathered with family and friends; her heart rejoiced in the moments of laughter created while playing cards and board games. Mikahla had a passion for environmental preservation and safety. She was committed to make this her life’s work and she was proud of her journey. Her adventurous soul found sanctuary in the outdoors; along running trails, exploring parks, kayaking, any activity that provided her the freedom to soak in nature’s beauty. Her kind spirit and open heart welcomed friendships of all ages. Mikahla simply enjoyed meeting and learning from people, just as they were, and she had an amazing ability to connect in special ways. As she welcomed you into her world, you quickly felt her kindred soul, her love, her acceptance and you became her family. Surviving are her parents Kory and Wendy Conrad; brother: Kaden Conrad of Marblehead; grandparents: Patti Conrad of Catawba Island, Kay Trumbull of Milton Center; aunt: Cheryl Trumbull of Milton Center, uncle: Robby Trumbull of Deshler; uncle and aunt: Kerry and Amy Conrad of Risingsun. She was preceded in death by her brother: Francis Ryan Conrad; sister: Kyra L. Conrad; grandfathers: Francis Conrad and Larry Trumbull. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. A Funeral Mass will be conducted 10:00 am Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St. Marblehead, OH. Interment will follow in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township. To honor Mikahla's commitment to health and safety, face masks are requested at all services.
