Goldie (Scott) Davis

<p>On Sunday, September 12, 2021, Goldie Scott Davis, of Mount Sterling, KY, formerly of Chattaroy, WV, was unexpectedly called home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by her family who loved her so much.&nbsp; Goldie was born June 14, 1951 to the late Rass Scott and Sadie Canterbury Scott.&nbsp; She was 70 years young.&nbsp;</p> <p>In addition to her parents, Goldie was preceded in death by a brother, Frank (Carol) Farley.&nbsp;</p> <p>Goldie leaves behind her loving husband of 49 years, Samuel Davis, of Mount Sterling, KY, two daughters, Sammi (Troy) Hatfield,&nbsp; also of Mount Sterling, KY, Tonya (Bruce) Cooley, of McMechen, WV, and a son, Eric (Ginger) Davis, of Morehead, KY.&nbsp; Goldie loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren more than life itself.&nbsp; She is survived by a loving sister, Helen (Jack) Dingus of Crossville, TN, and two loving brothers, B.L. Farley of WV, and Ira &ldquo;R.L.&rdquo; Farley of KY.&nbsp; Left to carry on her legacy are grandchildren, Whitney, Dylan, Karsynn, Cameron, Shelby, and Olivia, as well as her great-grandchildren, MaKenna, Brynlee, Jordynn, Kason, and Kyler.&nbsp;</p> <p>The family takes comfort in knowing that Goldie was a lifelong Christian, who loved God, and is now at home in Heaven with her Lord and Savior.&nbsp;</p> <p>Funeral services will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Rev. Bill Davis officiating.&nbsp; She will be laid to rest in the Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers.&nbsp;</p> <p>The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.</p> <p>Out of respect for the well-being of one another, the family would kindly ask that masks be worn while inside the visitation and service.</p>

I can remember the good times we had and I loved Goldies laugh. Josh and I will be unable to make it, but you will have our love and prayers as long as we are here on earth. Condolences to the Davis family.
