Nancy Vuono
Nancy (Manfredi) Vuono of Westerly, beloved wife of Joseph Vuono for 67 years, passed away on September 14, 2021. Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late George and Nellie Manfredi. Nancy was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Pius X Church. After graduating from Becker Jr. College, Nancy worked as a medical secretary for many years. She was a gifted knitter, seamstress and cook. She was a loving mother to three children, and her family meant the world to her. She always had a smile on her face, a kind word to share, and an open door to all. She enjoyed taking care of her gardens, and preparing Sunday dinner for her growing family. Her love and kindness will be truly missed. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children: Debra DelGiudice (Peter), Carol Briggs (Walt), and Robert Vuono (Lisa). She is also survived by her five beloved grandchildren: Sarah, Eric, Andrew, Daniel and Elizabeth. She also leaves six great-grandchildren: Madeline, William, Evelyn, Chet, Lydia and Sebastian; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Sally Furcolo. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. All services are private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to your favorite charity. Dear Joe and family. I am so sorry to hear of Nancy’s passing. I have know her and her family since I was a toddler. They were wonderful people. I enjoyed being in her company and talking to her. May God bless you all and may she Rest In Peace.
