Beatrice “Bea” H. Stark, a resident of Macomb Township, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the age of 97 years. Bea was born on June 10, 1924 in Sterling Heights, Michigan. She was a daughter of Bernard “Ben” and Irene (nee Karr) Hurttienne. On July 10, 1943, she married Nelson W. Stark at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sterling Heights. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Macomb Township and was involved in many of the church ministries including the Ladies Ministry and Sixty Plus Club. Bea was a member of the Ray Township Seniors, Lutheran Fraternities of America #78 and former co-chairman of Macomb Township election board, precinct #1. She enjoyed playing cards and socializing with her friends. Bea worked as a greeter at Hauss Funeral Home in Macomb Township for many years. She loved spending time with her family and will be missed by all who knew her. Bea is survived by her children, Gary (Rita) Stark and Gayle (Earle) Brooks; grandchildren, Gwynn (Paul) Previdi, Wendy (Rob) Reindel, Cathy Stark, Timothy Brooks and Susan Brooks; great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Breanna, Cody, Brett, Drew, Brooke, Nathan and Jillian. Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson on March 6, 2000; brother, Victor Hurttienne; and parents, Ben and Irene Hurttienne. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb. The Funeral Service will take place on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 17051 24 Mile Road, Macomb followed by the committal service and burial in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Macomb. Memorial tributes would be appreciated to St. Peter Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.
