Mrs. Myris Alsobrook Kelly

Mrs. Myris Alsobrook Kelly, 82, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at her residence. A private family graveside memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Kelly was born in Thomaston on December 15, 1938, to the late Robert L. "Bob" Alsobrook and Maudell Kersey Alsobrook. She was a graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and was retired from Thomaston Mills where she worked in the data processing center. She and her husband later owned and operated the Tara Hallmark Shops in Thomaston, Barnesville, and Griffin., Mrs. Kelly was a member of the First Baptist Church of Thomaston. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Alsobrook Thomas and Gail Alsobrook Burel. Mrs. Kelly is survived by her husband Ed Kelly and their children Mark (Karen) Kelly and Kristina Kelly; nieces and nephews: Michelle Burel, Berk (Nita) Burell, Lori Nicholson, Tony (Sonja) Nicholson; Ricky (Donna) Nicholson, Lezlie (Pete) Hudson, and Brad (Caroline) Ellington; and a brother-in-law, Larry Burel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to Pass the Salt Ministries at First Baptist Church, 208 South Church Street, Thomaston, GA 30286.
