Stasia A.Wienke, age 88, of Forest Lake and Lino Lakes, Minnesota, died peacefully on Saturday, September 11, 2021.  Stasia was a compassionate, lifelong nurse who enjoyed caring for others.  She passionately enjoyed collecting antiques and other memorabilia.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Cletus and Elsie (Abbe) Steinbach; husbands, Delano Schmidt and Charles Wienke; infant daughters, Mary Jo and Rosemary; siblings, Coletta “Tocky” Eustice, Marvin Steinbach.  She will be deeply missed by her devoted sons, James Schmidt, Robert (Deborah) Schmidt, Ronald (Leah) Schmidt, Gerald (KrissAnn) Schmidt, Roger (Rolanda) Schmidt, David (Janet) Schmidt, Dennis (Lisa) Schmidt; 20 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Nickolas (Beverly) Steinbach; other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake and one hour prior to mass at the church on Tuesday.  Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake.  Memorials are preferred to the Linwood Senior Center.
