<p>Florence E. (Broderick) Morton, 97, of Clarks Summit, died on Tuesday, in Willowbrook Senior Living.&nbsp; She was the wife of the late Edward F. Morton to whom she wed on September 9, 1950.</p> <p>Born July 11, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Florence A. (Woesthoff) Broderick.</p> <p>Florence enjoyed volunteering in the Library of St. Elizabeth School in Ozone Park, NY and played on the bowling team affiliated with the parish. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Elizabeth and also St. Gregory&rsquo;s Parish after she and her husband moved to the area. They both enjoyed square dancing for the Abington Allemanders and traveled all over to dance. Florence was a member of the Red Hat Society, White&rsquo;s Sewing Group and was an avid reader, particularly mystery novels.</p> <p>Surviving are three sons: Dr. Robert J. Morton and wife Marianne of Lake Ariel, Thomas D. Morton and wife Marianne of Davidsonville, MD and Dr. Lawrence D. Morton and wife Halyna of Midlothian, VA, 9 grandsons, many cousins, nieces and nephews.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by 3 brothers.</p> <p>The funeral will be Thursday, Sept. 23,&nbsp;with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am from Church of St. Gregory, 330 North Abington Road, Clarks Green, PA, to be celebrated by Rev. John M. Lapera. Interment to follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.&nbsp; The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, Sept. 22,&nbsp;from 5-7pm at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service, Inc., 111 Colburn Avenue, Clarks Summit, PA 18411. Florence E. (Broderick) Morton, 97, of Clarks Summit, died on Tuesday, in Willowbrook Senior Living.  She was the wife of the late Edward F. Morton to whom she wed on September 9, 1950.
