Maria A. Vargas, 84 died Monday, December 3, 2012. She was the wife of the late Manuel Garcia Vargas. Born in Castelo Branco, Faial, Acores she was a daughter of the late Jose F. and Maria A. (dosSantos) Oliveira. Mrs. Vargas was the owner and operator of Vargas Upholstery for the last 51 years. She leaves two sisters, Ana Caldeira and Adelina Lobao; one brother, Jose Oliveira; two nieces and two nephews all of California. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse Street, Providence.
