Obituary Notice Bill Caveny YORK William "Bill" Campbell Caveny, 60, of 106 Nottingham Drive died Friday, May 18, 2012, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill. The funeral will be at 3:00 P.M. on Monday May 21, 2012, at Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church. Rev. Neill McKay and Rev. Thomas B. McPhail officiating. Burial will be at Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-3:00 PM in the Family Life Center at Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church. Bill a native of York, was a son of Roy C. Caveny and the late Thelma Youngblood Caveny Traylor. He was a lifelong member of Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church. Bill was retired from York County in the Tax Assessors office after 32 years. Bill was a loving testimony of his strong faith in the LORD. Bill was a friend to all people he met, always had a smile and nice caring things to say and was always concerned and loving to others although he suffered many days himself. Bill was a true HERO to all that knew & loved him. His courage and strength was an inpiration to all who met him. Those who were close to him considered it a honor to a part of his life. Bill was an avid NASCAR FAN, "DALE EARNHART", for many years. He loved his family, his pets and his beloved SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS. He is survived by his father, Roy Caveny (Evelyn), 3 sisters, Pat Benfield (Billy) of Rock Hill, Margaret C. Caveny of Holmes Beach, FL, Sandi Branch (Freck) of McConnells, and his brother, Bobby Cavney (Barbara) of Rock Hill, and very special friend, Brenda Robbins. He was preceded in death by his mother Thelma Y. Traylor, and his twin. We would like to thank Chuck & Kelly Ramsey and their family and friends, Cathy Miskelly, for all the love and devotion to Bill, also to the doctors and nurses at Piedmont Medical Center, the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House for all the care & comfort during his life long illness. In 1967 at the age of 15, Bill had a kidney transplant. The kidney was a gift from his father Roy Caveny. Memorials may be made to Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church, 1184 N. Shiloh Road York, SC 29745 or to Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, P.O. Box 993 Rock Hill, SC 29732.
