Elsie Lee Queen Eckard of Bullock Creek, South Carolina passed peacefully from this life into the arms of our Lord on the morning of Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Elsie is the daughter of Raymond Clarence Queen and Ethel Yarborough Queen (both previously departed), and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in York, SC. Elsies legacy is her love and devotion to Jesus Christ, which she shared freely and passionately with so many. She will be greatly missed by her children, Vicki Eckard McCurry of York SC, Mary Ethel Eckard of Frisco TX, Sandra Eckard Hammack and husband Thomas of Greenville SC, and Johnny Eckard, Jr. of Sharon, SC. Elsie was proud to be the grandmother to 10, and great grandmother to 14. Elsie also leaves behind her sister Margaret Queen Darty, and several beloved nieces and nephews. (Brother Clarence M. Bud Queen and Sister Nell Smart are previously departed). A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in York, SC with the Reverend Brad Vassey officiating.
