Linda Lee Dryer

<p>Linda &nbsp;L. (Rydman) Dryer, age 71, of Monclova, OH passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021.&nbsp; She was born April 17, 1950, in Toledo, OH, to Mary Jane (Painter) and Kenneth Rydman.&nbsp; She graduated from Whitmer High School in 1968 and earned a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Toledo and a master&rsquo;s degree from Lourdes College.&nbsp; She began her career teaching third grade at Highland elementary School in Sylvania.&nbsp; During her 35-year career she was awarded Educator of the Year.&nbsp; She also was honored as a Martha Jennings Holden Scholar and Who&rsquo;s Who in Education.&nbsp; Linda enjoyed teaching and retired from Sylvania Schools after 35 years in 2010.&nbsp; Linda and Bill treasured family and time spent together.&nbsp; Linda was preceded in death by her parents.&nbsp; She is survived by her loving husband, Bill who passed September 10, 2021, daughters, Patricia L. Barfield and Shannon L. (Andre) Velazquez, grandchildren, Megan (Nico) Benedetti and Alex Velazquez, beloved great-granddaughters, Luca and Isla Benedetti, brother, Greg (Cindy) Rydman; nephew, Mark (Suellen) Rydman, niece, Courtney (Tristan) Lyne; great-nephew, Elijah; and many extended loved ones.</p> <p>Visitation will be held at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, Friday September 17, 2021, from 3:00 P.M. &ndash; 7:00 P.M. with funeral following at 7:00 P.M.&nbsp; Interment will be private.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers please consider contributions to Diabetes Association of Toledo.&nbsp; Online condolences to reebfuneralhome.com</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
