Graveside services for Bernice Needham, 91, will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Fairview North Cemetery of Wellington with Tom Anderson officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
She passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Wellington.
Bernice Gibson was born December 31, 1929 in Dotson to J.D. Gibson and Nellie Wisdom Gibson. She married Jack Needham on February 22, 1947. She was a devoted Church of Christ member all her life and was a member of the Bowie Street Church of Christ in Wellington. She was the hub of her family, a wonderful woman and a stunning example to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; two granddaughters, Angela Brandon and Shannon Brown; a sister, Marie Black and a brother, Charles Gibson.
Survivors include a son Jackie Needham and wife, Jill, of College Station; a daughter Cheryl Brandon of Wichita Falls; a son Craig Needham and wife, DeeDee, of Wellington and a son Kevin Needham and wife, Cathy, of Wellington; grandchildren Daryon Brown, Derek Brown, Alisha Brandon, Andi Needham, Eric Needham, Lauren Patterson, Matt Needham, Jason Needham and Amber Goodwin; 23 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; two sisters Mary White of Clarendon and Helen Gollihugh of Wellington; a brother, John Gibson of Lubbock and numerous nieces and nephews.
