Dolores Rose Wells, 84, of Tappahannock passed away on Saturday September 11, 2021. She was a devoted member of the Center Cross Church of God where she served her Lord in many capacities including Treasurer as well as president and clerk of the Ladies Ministry. Dolores was the life of the party and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and doting grandmother. Dolores is survived by her husband Donald “Don” Wells; two children Jeffrey Ty Wells of Tappahannock and Angel Chlebo of Bowling Green; step-daughter Darlene Hamm of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren Lauren Wells, Brandon Wells, Jeffrey Wells, II, Chelsea Murphy, Katherine Chlebo, Heather Chlebo and Donovan Chlebo; two step-grandchildren Dawn Elmer and Jeremy Jenkins; and a number of great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021 in the Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock with Pastor Jake Affeldt officiating. Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
