Suzette Ison Obituary

Suzette Ison was born May 20, 1958 in Lancaster, Kentucky to Samuel Clay Ison and Jennette (Lewis) Ison.  Suzette moved from Lancaster to Covington, Kentucky over 25 years ago to reside, where she departed from this life at her home on September 10, 2021 at the age of 63.  Her last place of employment was at the Hope Center of Covington; she became disabled ten years ago.  Suzette confessed hope in Christ at the early age of 12 years; she was a strong believer in God and stood strong on her faith.  Suzette was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.  She was loved by all that knew her.

Suzette leaves to mourn her passing two sons, Trent (Chantay) Ison of Lancaster, Kentucky, Brian (Laronna) Ison of Owensboro, Kentucky; three daughters, Jeniah Ison of Cincinnati, Ohio, Latashia Ison and Natashia Ison both of Covington, Kentucky; thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five sisters, Mary Leavell of Lancaster, Kentucky, Nina Ison of Stanford, Kentucky, Wanda (Ronald) Washington, Marvina (Jerry) Crowders, Nancy Brown, all of Lexington, Kentucky; one very special uncle, Charles Owens of East Greenwich, Rhode Island; a host of nieces and nephews and loving cousins.

Suzette was proceeded in death by her parents, Samuel and Jennette Ison; her loving fiancé, Reginald Stewart; two brothers, William Marvin Dismeaux and William Turner; one grandson, Bailey Whittaker.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 17, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Lancaster, Kentucky at 1:00 pm.  Visitation will be from 11:00 - 1:00 pm at the church.

Burial will be in Duncantown Cemetery, Lancaster, Kentucky.

Pallbearers are Lamont Hocker, Deon McPherson, Cedric Leavell, Larry Bartleson, Ki’Shon Bartleson, Jaylan McPherson, Terrie Dunn and Mike Perrin.

Honorary Pallbearers are John Thomas, Elmer Wearren, Paul VanDyke, Ricky McPherson, Simon Morris, Ricky Boatley and Tim Snodgrass.

Due to COVID concerns, the family requests that masks please be worn during visitation and services.
