Belmont, North Carolina Hazel Lee Hester Conner, 87, went to be with Jesus September 11, 2021. She was born May 20, 1934 in Upton County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Elgie Lee and Hazel Aline Pippin Hester. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Fletcher Howard Conner, Sr. earlier this month; sister LouEllen Clark and grandson Joey Broome. Hazel was a member of Sharon Freewill Baptist Church. She loved her family deeply and will be greatly missed by her son Bo Conner and his wife Lynn of Belmont; daughter Sissy Rayl and her husband Jeff of Holden Beach, NC; grandchildren Emily Broome, Megan Conner, K.C. Ellen Bell (Mike), Mandi Gardner;great grandchildren Conner, Hydee, Lauren, Joe, Bailey, Hess, Landon, Raelyn, Hazel and Harlee; great great grandchildren Jett and Claire; her much loved brother Cebron "Wes" Hester and his wife Judy; many nieces and nephews and Hazel's extended family- the Wilsons. The family will receive friends at Sharon Free Will Baptist Church, from 1 - 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 14, 2021. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 14, 2021 with Rev.
