Kathleen Marie McDermott

Kathleen Marie McDermott, 59, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at home surrounded by family. Kathleen was born on May 9, 1962 in Cincinnati, OH, to her parents, Edward James "Jim" and Patricia Lee (Wray) McDermott. Kathleen was a proud employee of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in the marketing department. Prior to joining Children's, Kathy had a long-standing career in journalism and worked as copy editor for the Cincinnati Enquirer for over twenty years. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward James "Jim" McDermott. Kathleen is survived by her mother, Patricia Lee McDermott (nee Wray); two sisters, Maureen (John) Fisher and Colleen (Pete Seibert) Martinez; two nieces, Patty (Cody) Neises, and Mary "Lily" Loretta Fisher and two nephews, Adrian Martinez and John Patrick Fisher; two great-nephews, Liam and Archie Neises. Visitation Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Saint Joseph Church, 4011 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076 from 10:00 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Stephen Cemetery, Fort, Thomas, KY. Memorials are Suggested to the American Cancer Society, 4540 Cooper Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45242
