Mr. Martin Horace Eaves, 62, died Saturday morning (September 11, 2021) at Memorial Satilla Health. He was born August 27, 1959 in Macon, but he graduated from Elbert County High School in Elberton, GA. Martin received his juris doctor from Mercer University School of Law in Macon. He served in the United States Marine Corp for six years. For the past 13 years, he has been employed by the State of Georgia Public Defender’s Office. Before working with the State of Georgia, Martin owned and operated his own firm, Martin Eaves Law Office. He also worked in the auto shop/workshop of Coastal Pines. Martin enjoyed blacksmithing, locksmithing and making leather belts. He was a member of the Waycross Hebrew Center. Martin was preceded in death by his father, Richard Eaves. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Guzel Rashitovna Nasybullina Eaves of Waycross; four children, Amanda Lynn Eaves, Tabitha Irene Eaves, Diana Olivia Eaves and Alexander Carl Eaves; his mother, June Martin LaRoque of Waycross; one brother, Richard Eaves; two half-sisters, Shannon Eaves Krantz and Kelly Eaves; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday (September 17, 2021) at Elmhurst Cemetery in Elberton, GA. The family will receive friends 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday at Music Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Waycross Hebrew Center, 610 Screven Ave., Waycross, GA 31501.
