Ivy went to her eternal rest at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre at Harbour Breton on Friday, September 10, 2021. Ivy leaves to mourn her loving family: sisters, Beatrice Turner (Darren) at Lower Sackville, NS and Mildred Augot (Phil) at Harbour Breton, with whom she resided; brothers, George Hunt (Laura) at Halifax, NS and Alex Hunt (Jane) at Harbour Breton; sister in law, Martha Hunt; special niece, Jackie Hoskins; special friend, Leo Augot; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and their families, other relatives and friends. Ivy was predeceased by her parents, George and Beatrice Hunt; brother, John Hunt; Uncle Albert and Aunt Eliza Sibley; nephew, Glen Hunt. Visitation was held at Spencer’s Funeral Home on Sunday, September 12 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and on Monday, September 13 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church with Father David Joy officiating. Cremation followed. Inurnment will be announced at later date.
