Steven Ray Harper, 57, passed away on September 11, 2021. Steven was born September 20, 1963 in Houston, Texas. Steven is survived by his mother Betty Smith. 4 brothers Cliff, Charlie, Johnny and Darrell. 3 sisters Kim, Donna and Japlynn. He also leaves behind his daughter Jessica Massie, son in law Charles Massie, son, Travis Harper and daughter in law Jessica Harper, son Shannon Harper and daughter in law Miranda Harper, 8 grandchildren, Natalee, Jesse, Braden, Riley, Brody, Karson Kamryn and Jaxson. Steven is preceded in death by his father John Bunyun Harper, Sr. Steven enjoyed riding his bike, spending time with his grandkids, and telling stories to anyone who would listen. Tall tales and puns were to be expected when he started talking. If Steve was here, he would probably make a joke about how this is all the governments fault and rant on about it a little bit. Then he would start to preach his testimony and how no matter what life throws at you God has a plan. John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” If there is one thing that Steve left behind is the knowing that he was a true believer.
