Robert “Bob” Wilson, 76, of Petal passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Moore Petal Chapel with interment to immediately follow at Green’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Moore Petal Chapel. Mr. Wilson was a member of Green’s Creek Baptist Church. Years ago, after attending a revival at Green’s Creek, Mr. Bob asked Christ to save him. He worked as an Industrial Electrician off-shore for 23 years. After his retirement, he came back to Petal and started his own business, Wilson’s Electric. During his free time, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and playing dominos with his family. He also loved to travel to the Smokey Mountains with family. Above all things, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Palmer; his father, Cecil Wilson; his sisters, Doris Clingon, Patricia Ellis and Barbara “Bobbie” Ezelle Clay; his brother, Donald Palmer; and his stepfather, Hasten Palmer. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Evelyn Lee Wilson of Petal; his son, Steven Prine of Petal; his grandchildren, Joseph Bookout, Jacob Bookout, Jett Prine, and Ella Bleu Prine; 6 great grandchildren; and his sisters, Pam Palmer of Hattiesburg and Lindy Sue Barrett of Hattiesburg; and many nieces and nephews. Bro. Mike Routon, Bro. Vince Lee, and Bro. Daniel Lee will be officiating the service. Pallbearers will be Steven Prine, Jett Prine, Rob Stephens, Ella Bleu Prine, Nick Mooney, and Tom Ahlf. Mr. Wayne Hancock and Patrick Prine will be an honorary pallbearers.
