<p>Bryan Scott McDowell, 60, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.</p> <p>Scott was the son of John Perry McDowell and the late Mary Wagner McDowell.&nbsp; After high school, Scott served his country in the US NAVY.&nbsp; After his time in the NAVY, he was employed by Capps Brothers Woodyard until his retirement.&nbsp; He was a member of Mill Spring First Baptist Church in Mill Spring, NC.</p> <p>In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny McDowell.</p> <p>Surviving is his wife, Rebecca McDowell; a son, Bryan McDowell (Paige); a daughter, McKenzie Hall (Tyler); his father, Perry McDowell (Rosa Lee); six grandchildren, Oakley, Brantley, Bristol, Briley, Braxton, and Silas; two sisters&nbsp;and four brothers.</p> <p>A private family graveside service will be held at Mill Spring First Baptist Church Cemetery.</p>

Obituary

Bryan Scott McDowell, 60, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.

Scott was the son of John Perry McDowell and the late Mary Wagner McDowell.  After high school, Scott served his country in the US NAVY.  After his time in the NAVY, he was employed by Capps Brothers Woodyard until his retirement.  He was a member of Mill Spring First Baptist Church in Mill Spring, NC.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny McDowell.

Surviving is his wife, Rebecca McDowell; a son, Bryan McDowell (Paige); a daughter, McKenzie Hall (Tyler); his father, Perry McDowell (Rosa Lee); six grandchildren, Oakley, Brantley, Bristol, Briley, Braxton, and Silas; two sisters and four brothers.

A private family graveside service will be held at Mill Spring First Baptist Church Cemetery.
