Cherrie M. Cassebaum, 61, of Scranton, and formerly of Roaring Brook Twp., died Tuesday at Mt. View Care Center in Scranton following an illness. Born March 4, 1960, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late William P. and Ruth O. (Davies) Cassebaum, Cherrie was an active participant of the ARC of Northeastern Pennsylvania for 36 years. She was a member of the Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Moscow. Surviving are her niece, Amy Kelly and husband, Sean, and family of Madison Twp.; her cousins, Jolene Anderson and family, and William "Billy" Birner, and family; great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Cherrie was preceded in death by her sisters, Kathlyn Cassebaum, and Arlene Birner; and aunts and uncles. A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 1 p.m. in Duffy and Snowdon Funeral Home, 401 Church St., Moscow.
