Frederick Robert Frasca

Frederick Robert Frasca, 66, of Pompton Lakes, passed away on September 10, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Paterson, Fred was one of ten children born to the late Biaggio and late Betty Frasca. He married Jacqueline Reed in 1977 and together raised their family in Pompton Lakes. Fred was the epitome of a hard-working family man. He worked many years in public safety for Passaic County Community College as well as retiring as a manager of A&P after almost 20 years. Fred took great pride in being a devoted husband and loving father but his favorite role was that of grandfather. He dedicated much of his time to coaching recreational sports teams in his community, including: Pompton Lakes-Riverdale Little League baseball and soccer, St. Mary's Youth Organization basketball and Pompton Lakes PAL basketball. Fred is survived by his wife, Jackie; his sons, Freddie, Jr. and his wife Kelly, David and his wife Stacey, and Marc and his wife Kristy; his brothers, Biaggio, Jr., Thomas and Dominick; his sisters, Gloria, Linda, Betty and Angel; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Hailey, Mia, Rylee, Logan, Marc, Jr., and Ryan; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Maryann and Donna. Visiting hours will be held from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, September 14 at M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 am on Wednesday at St. Mary's RC Church. Cremation will be private In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred's memory can be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Please note: Masks will be required at the funeral home. St. Mary's parking lot will be closed due to paving but street parking is available.
