Michael Lewis Heup, 69, a 42-year resident of Davidsonville, Md, died following a battle with multiple chronic illnesses on September 10, 2021. Mike was a graduate of Bowie High School and the University of Maryland where he was a proud member of Delta Sigma Phi. Mike worked as a real estate appraiser, and operated his own appraisal business for more than 40 years. His interests included Maryland Terrapins Athletics, new business opportunities, Mexican food, political thriller novels and relaxing by his backyard pool with his family. His life was centered around the lives and activities of his four children. Survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 48 years, Roxanne Heup, and their four children, Michael, Eric, Stephen and Jennifer; two grandchildren, Fiona and Everett Heup; and two brothers, David and Timothy Heup. The family will host a celebration of Mike’s life on Friday, September 17 at the University of Maryland Moxley Gardens at Riggs Alumni Hall from 11am-1pm.
