Alma J. Ely Age 88, of Watkins Glen, passed away September 9, 2021. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Donald F. Ely; sons, Stephen (Tammy), Dale (Karen), and Jerry (Caroline); grandchildren, Jonathon, Caitlin (Rob), Chelsea, Taylor and Josh; niece Cheryl Meyer; and nephews, Leon and Gary Jaworski. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Flossy Correll; brother, Irwyn “Red” Correll; and sisters, Shirley Jaworski and Barbara Crocker. Alma was a loving mother and grandmother. She and Don were founding members of the square-dancing group, Gingham Squares, holding their first dances in their basement in Watkins Glen. She enjoyed playing cards with close friends, working in her flower garden, and baking Christmas cookies with the grandkids. A private celebration will be held at the convenience of the family.
